Manchester United face Granada on Thursday evening aiming to gain an advantage in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final meeting.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men travel to Spain having returned from international action with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League at the weekend.

Could the Norwegian be tempted to make many changes for the clash against the Spaniards?

There could potentially be sweeping alterations throughout the starting XI with potentially as many as four changes expected.

The first of those should occur in goal where Dean Henderson has become the club’s No.1 choice. This game then might be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce David de Gea who has not made an appearance since late February.

Elsewhere, there should also be a slight alteration in defence. Alex Telles has been preferred to Luke Shaw in Europe so will likely be handed another start on Thursday evening. He will line up in defence alongside Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

There should also be another slight alteration in midfield from Solskjaer. Paul Pogba is only just returning from injury so having started against the Seagulls, it could be too much of a risk to play the Frenchman again. Scott McTominay could return in the £54m-rated midfielder’s place.

The final Red Devils’ change should occur in attack where the team are enduring a slight crisis. Anthony Martial is potentially out for the rest of the season according to Solskjaer, whilst there are also question marks over Marcus Rashford’s availability to start.

The latter should be replaced by Daniel James, who will be supported by Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani.

Mason Greenwood meanwhile will remain after netting in the win against Brighton.

يشعر نادي برشلونة بالقلق من الحالة البدنية للدولي الهولندي، ممفيس ديباي، وينوي توخي الحذر معه، خلال الفترة القادمة؛ وفقًا لما ذكرته صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الكتالونية.

وقالت الصحيفة إن الهولندي يُعاني من إصابة في الوقت الحالي، ولديه مشكلة في العضلة ذات الرأسين في فخذه الأيسر.

ديباي بسبب الإصابة غاب عن ثماني مباريات من آخر 10 مباريات بسبب مشاكل بدنية، ومُنذ اللعب أمام ريال مدريد في كأس السوبر الإسباني لم يحصل على أي دقيقة بسبب الإصابة.

وأكدت الصحيفة أن الإصابة تدفع تشافي هرنانديز إلى توخي الحذر الشديد وعدم المخاطرة به حتى لا يتعرض لإصابة أقوى.

Ricardo Gomes tirou o peso da eliminação para o Juventude, que disputa a Série C do Campeonato Brasileiro. Vencedor de cinco torneios de mata-mata na carreira, ele disse que resultados como o desta quinta acontecem.

– O erro foi no primeiro jogo. Já ganhei umas cinco Copas, já fui eliminado por time de terceira, quarta divisão. Isso é Copa. É bem diferente em todo o campeonato. Por isso é o mata-mata. Tivemos infelicidade no jogo de ida. Hoje, controlamos o jogo. Merecíamos a classificação. Não aconteceu, mas pelo que vi do time… Claro que não posso estar contente com a desclassificação, mas pela garra, dedicação, estou esperançoso para frente – disse.

O treinador afirmou que não é hora de pensar na temporada 2017, mesmo que o Tricolor tenha perdido a única oportunidade de título. São quatro anos na fila. Mas domingo tem o Vitória, em Salvador, partida importante na luta contra o rebaixamento.

– Temos um jogo importantíssimo domingo contra o Vitória. Temos de pensar no Brasileiro. Não podemos pensar em 2017, não. Planejamento tem várias pessoas para fazerem. Eu tenho de pensar nesse ano. Esse ano, podemos evoluir ainda mais – concluiu Ricardo, que em oito jogos pelo São Paulo venceu três, perdeu três e empatou dois.

Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham looks set to return to Parkhead in the summer following his loan spell with Marseille, the Daily Record report.

That’s because the Ligue 1 side, who have the option to make Ntcham’s move permanent for £4.5m at the end of the season, are looking at midfield alternatives.

Reports from Turkey and France, cited by the Daily Record, claim that Marseille are looking at Gedson Fernandes and Angelo Fulgini, with both players possible replacements for the 25-year-old.

Ntcham, on £14,000-a-week in Glasgow, has made just five appearances back in his native country in recent months, failing to score or assist in those matches.

Transfer Tavern take

With Eddie Howe looking likely to become the new Hoops boss, Ntcham could be of interest to the 43-year-old. That’s because Bournemouth wanted to sign the player back in 2016 when he was with Genoa.

However, Ntcham has recently made it clear he wants to seal a permanent summer exit from Glasgow, regardless of what Marseille decide to do.

He’ll have 12 months remaining on his Celtic deal in the summer, so it doesn’t look likely he’ll be turning out in green and white next season, regardless of who is in the Parkhead dugout, so it’ll be interesting to see how much the club recieve for his services in the market, or indeed if Howe really pushes to keep him at the club.

Dean Windass has exclusively told The Transfer Tavern that if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham this summer, Heung-Min Son might start to consider his future at the club.

The duo, who’ve enjoyed an incredible campaign up alongside each other for Jose Mourinho’s team, have been linked with respective moves away from north London this season, with Spurs currently facing the prospect of no Champions League football once again.

Both are tied down to long-term contracts, but Son, who’s been in talks over extending his deal for some time, has emerged as a transfer target for Bayern Munich, whilst there’s no secret about Manchester City’s ongoing interest in Kane.

It’s going to take a monumental effort to prize either player away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, but Windass thinks that Kane’s potential departure could start a domino effect in the Spurs squad – with Son following the England captain through the exit door.

He told the Transfer Tavern:

“Money talks. I’ve heard many chairmans and managers over the years say ‘he’s not leaving’ and then three weeks later he’s gone. Players have got the power to put in a transfer request.

“If Harry Kane goes to Man City, if you were Son what would you be thinking? You lose your top striker, then where are you going to go from there?

“If Tottenham reach the Champions League this year that might entice Harry to stay, but I think if Harry does leave then he [Son] might be sat at home thinking, ‘well’. And then all of a sudden the manager and owners have got a problem, if you lose them two players – it’s like a pack of cards.”

A club source has now revealed to Football Insider that a “key area identified for reinforcements is in attack and the recruitment team are working on identifying potential targets”.

It is added that “the plan is to sign two senior forwards who can play out wide, either side of the main striker, in Dean Smith’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation. Villa are prepared to spend big for the players, just as they did when recruiting Ollie Watkins and Bertrand Traore last summer.”
