Antes mesmo de disputar sua partida pela 33ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, o São Paulo já atingiu marca interessante de ingressos vendidos para o clássico com o Corinthians, na 34ª rodada. Nesta segunda-feira, dia em que o Tricolor encara o América-MG em Belo Horizonte, a diretoria registrou mais de 21 mil bilhetes comercializados para o Majestoso de sábado, às 17h.

Os primeiros dias de vendas foram destinados apenas aos sócios-torcedores do clube paulista, que manteve a promoção de ingressos iniciada no duelo com a Ponte Preta na 32ª rodada. Assim, as arquibancadas saem por R$ 10 (R$ 5 a meia-entrada) e as cadeiras por R$ 20 (R$ 10) para quem não é integrante do programa de sócio-torcedor.

No site da Total Acesso, já não é mais possível comprar ingressos para a arquibancada azul, usualmente o setor mais concorrido no Morumbi. As outras três arquibancadas seguem com lugares disponíveis, mas a venda é feita de forma exclusiva pela internet para atender a determinação da Justiça. Os demais setores têm bilhetes à venda no estádio.

Contra a Ponte Preta, 49.673 torcedores foram ao Morumbi acompanhar a vitória do São Paulo por 2 a 0. Foi o segundo jogo do Tricolor a entrar no “top 5” do Brasileirão. O outro foi diante da Chapecoense, no empate em 2 a 2, com 54.996 presentes. O recorde do clube no ano é de 61.766, na semifinal da Libertadores, contra o Atlético Nacional (COL).

Xisco Munoz’s Watford look set to release Achraf Lazaar this summer.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to The Athletic, who claimed that the left-back looks unlikely to be kept on at Vicarage Road despite the club having an option to extend the 29-year-old’s contract for a further 12 months.

It is reported that Watford simply viewed the former Newcastle United defender as a stop-gap backup to first-choice left-back Adam Masina, with the newly-promoted side potentially looking to bring in a new player in the position this summer.

Get him gone

Having joined Watford on a free transfer back in February, after being released from his contract early by the Magpies, it is fair to say that Lazaar failed to make a significant impact within Xisco’s side.

Since joining the Hornets, the £18,000-per-week left-back has featured in just four games, with the defender losing possession of the ball an average of 9.8 times per match, a rather staggering statistic considering he averaged just 33 minutes on the pitch over these four appearances.

In terms of his overall level of performance, Lazaar has averaged a SofaScore match rating of 6.58 so far at the club, ranking him as Watford’s third-worst player in the Championship, with his rating only bettering those of Stipe Perica and Ignacio Pussetto.

As such, it is hardly surprising to learn that Watford do not plan to extend the Morocco international’s contract beyond this season, despite Houssine Kharja, Lazaar’s former international team-mate, claiming that the 29-year-old has “great qualities” as a footballer.

Indeed, considering just how ineffectual Lazaar has been, it would be most advisable for Watford to offload the left-back this summer, and to look at bringing in a substantially better replacement in the summer if Xisco wants his side to have any chance of surviving in the Premier League next term.

وكان المصري قد تعادل سلبيًا خارج دياره مع القطن الكاميروني، في حين فاز مازيمي على أوتوهو أودويو بهدف وحيد.

James Pearce, Liverpool correspondent for The Athletic, says the club are still to yet finalise their move for RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate.

The lowdown

Pearce’s colleague David Ornstein revealed at the end of March that the Reds were closing in on the signing of the 21-year-old defender.

Liverpool have seen their centre-back ranks decimated by injury this season, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all casualties.

Frenchman Konate has made 94 appearances for RB Leipzig and, according to The Athletic’s Tom Worville, ‘has all of the tools to become one of the best in Europe’.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted on 23 April that Liverpool have agreed the terms of Konate’s five-year contract.

He said Liverpool will pay the €35million (£30.5m) release clause and that the deal ‘is set to be completed’.

Pearce, speaking to fan channel The Redmen TV, said: “It’s still not 100% done because that conversation with Leipzig hasn’t happened yet in terms of either negotiating a fee or just straight up paying his release clause.

“I think there is a realisation that is what has to happen – I don’t really see Leipzig letting him go for anything less than that release clause.”

The verdict

Could Liverpool box clever here? Having already agreed terms with Konate, they may be able to shave some money off the fee with the club knowing they would otherwise be keeping an unhappy player.

To do that though, they may need to give Leipzig something in return.

Takumi Minamino may be the solution, as the Japanese forward is out of favour at Anfield, hence his loan to Southampton at the end of the January transfer window.

But now Jesse Marsch, who oversaw his development at RB Salzburg, is set to take over at Leipzig.

Marsch has waxed lyrical about Minamino, hailing him as a ‘very clever’ player who ‘understands how to make final plays and tactics’.

A player-plus-cash swap deal may just be feasible.

A Arena Corinthians não oferece riscos aos seus frequentadores, segundo o Ministério Público de São Paulo. O órgão vistoriou o estádio depois de denúncias de vazamento excessivo de água e autorizou o local a receber jogos.

Em nota, o MP paulista declarou: “A Promotoria de Habitação e Urbanismo da Capital esclarece que foi realizada vistoria no Estádio Arena Corinthians pelos técnicos do Centro de Apoio à Execução do Ministério Público, que concluiu que não há risco para a utilização do estádio, assim como para o estacionamento para a realização de eventos esportivos e de natureza diversa.”

O pedido de vistoria foi feito porValéria Maiolini, da Promotoria de Habitação e Urbanismo, depois de reportagem do jornal Folha de S.Paulo noticiar que mais de 20 milhões de litros de água vazaram na área.

O Flamengo acertou nesta segunda-feira um acordo para utilizar o estádio da Portuguesa, na Ilha do Governador, a partir do próximo ano. Atualmente, o Botafogo manda seus jogos por lá. Em nota divulgada à imprensa, o clube deixa claro que esta é uma movimentação independente do que vai acontecer com a gestão do Maracanã. O Rubro-Negro informou ainda que o contrato é de exclusividade com o clube, com o prazo de três anos, renováveis por mais três.

-Este foi um movimento muito importante porque garante ao Flamengo um estádio para realizar suas partidas, independente do que vier a acontecer com o Maracanã ou do nosso projeto para ter um estádio próprio de grande porte. Agradeço muito a Portuguesa pela confiança e pela parceria. Tenho certeza de que juntos vamos transformar o estádio em uma importante praça esportiva do Rio de Janeiro. O presidente da Portuguesa, João Rego, celebrou a parceria.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, former Everton defender Michael Ball believes supporters at his old club would welcome the signing of Gareth Bale.

The Welsh forward is currently on loan at Tottenham from Real Madrid and is set for a return to Spain in the summer. However, with only a year remaining on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, his future could be away from the Champions League semi-finalists.

If that does turn out to be the case, according to El Chiringuito (via TEAMtalk), Everton could be his new home, with former manager Carlo Ancelotti keen on a reunion.

For Ball, this is a transfer that he cannot see Toffees supporters being against. On the rumours, he told FFC:

“I think the Everton fans would like to see that happening. I think Carlo would like to see that happening. Carlo wants players to make an impact straight away, he wants players to push for Europe, challenge that top four and start making a bit of a noise.

“Carlo wants instant success; Gareth has obviously got that in abundance. If he comes to the football club, he will raise the levels of the players around him.”

Bale has really come to life of late, recently scoring a brilliant hat-trick against Sheffield United. He is also a player Ancelotti obviously knows well from their time at Real Madrid, so a move to Goodison Park does not sound like the craziest idea.
