Apesar de entrar em campo com muita vontade, Capixaba não conseguiu ajudar o Galo, que foi derrotado, por 2 a 0, pelo Leão. A próxima partida da equipe Alvinegra será diante do Atlético Paranaense, nesta quarta-feira, às 19h30, no Estádio Independência, em Belo Horizonte.

وأضاف: “نتعامل في النادي كعائلة، وسأفعل ما يريدون، لأنهم سيفعلون لي أفضل مما أريد”.

ويحتل فريق غزل المحلة المركز الثالث عشر في ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 26 نقطة.

On-loan Wolves striker Austin Samuels says he wants to ‘kick-start’ his career at Aberdeen, who have an option to buy him at the end of the season.

The lowdown

Aberdeen sealed the season-long loan deal for Samuels with a week remaining of the summer transfer window. They can make the move permanent if they’re sufficiently impressed.

Samuels has made 46 appearances for Wolves at Under-23 level, with coach James Collins dubbing him ‘excellent’.

He earned a first-team run-out in a pre-season friendly against Crewe Alexandra this summer, but has yet to be granted an official debut despite netting 18 times for the Under-18s and 13 times for the Under-23s (via Transfermarkt).

Wolves also allowed academy forward Theo Corbeanu to leave on loan, with the Canadian joining Sheffield Wednesday.

Samuels hinted that he’s aiming to convince Aberdeen he’s worthy of a permanent move.

The 20-year-old is confident he’s made the best decision for his career.

“There’s an option for Aberdeen to buy me at the end of the loan period,” he said, as quoted by The Press and Journal.

“So, all going well and if both parties are happy, there’s a chance I’ll stay.

“I can develop and kick-start my career. I’m 20 now and have a lot of years to go in the game.

“I knew my next move would have to be right for me and benefit me a lot.

“I felt the move to Aberdeen would be a good one and hopefully I can prove that.”

The verdict

It certainly does look a good move for Samuels, who may get the chance to experience Europa Conference League football this season after plying his trade at League Two Bradford City last term.

The optional fee has yet to be specified, but you can’t imagine it’s too high given that Samuels hasn’t played a competitive minute for Wolves’ first team. Perhaps it will come to look pretty modest if he kicks on in Scotland, and time will tell if the Wanderers will eventually regret sanctioning a permanent deal down the line.

Com a vitória, o Galo da Praia ganhou a sefgunda seguida e subiu momentâneamente para a nona posição, com 13 pontos. O Papão, que tem 12, ficou na décima quarta colocação.

No primeiro tempo, o Paysandu saiu na frente no começo do jogo, com Marcão. Depois, o CRB teve inúmeras chances de empatar a aprtida, mas parou na trave e no goleiro Emerson. Na segunda etapa a história se inverteu. O CRB foi cirúrgico, e conseguiu dois gols em duas chances criadas. O Paysandu teve algumas ooportunidades, mas, assim como o adversário no primeiro tempo, não conseguiu marcar.

Steve Bruce is set to make a change in goal for Newcastle United’s clash with Leeds United on Friday night, according to Tuesday’s Daily Mirror (via Chronicle Live).

Freddie Woodman has started Newcastle’s first four Premier League matches with Karl Darlow recovering from a bout of coronavirus that saw him hospitalised and Martin Dubravka sidelined by a foot injury.

But Woodman’s form has been unconvincing. The former Swansea City loanee has conceded 12 goals from a post-shot xG of just 8.9 (via FBRef).

After the 4-1 defeat away to Manchester United on Saturday, Woodman wrote on Instagram that he ‘wasn’t good enough’ but was determined to ‘learn and react in the right way’.

Following a tough afternoon in Manchester, Woodman will drop to the substitutes’ bench for Leeds’ visit.

The verdict

Steve Bruce has probably made the right call here. Woodman was excellent for Swansea in the Championship, and so Newcastle would have viewed him as a more than able deputy.

But his performances surely haven’t lived up to expectations, and his confidence will have been damaged ahead of a test against a Leeds team who unleash constant waves of attack, despite their own deficiencies at the other end.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Dubravka is restored to the line-up when fit. Can Darlow force Bruce to hesitate?
