Kieron Pollard believes that the semi-final clash between Mumbai Indians and Trinidad & Tobago could ultimately come down to the experience gained by the Indian side in the IPL.Mumbai Indians booked their passage into the semis with a comprehensive win against Perth Scorchers, as a result of which, Pollard will be facing off against his T&T team-mates, who themselves come into the game on the back of a big victory against Chennai Super Kings.”Ramdin’s men know my game well but I know theirs too, so it’s going to be interesting this Saturday,” Pollard said. “Their batters are in form but our bowling and fielding have been disciplined. I still get out but if the slow bowlers keep it in my arc, I am ready to hit it out of sight.”Pollard, who boasts an impressive strike rate of 149.73 in T20Is, also shrugged off claims that he was a specialist only in the shortest format of the game. “If people want to call me T20 freelancer, that’s their opinion. If I try to change everything, I will be trying to change the whole world. For me, it’s just a matter of what I am supposed to do and that is playing whatever format I get to play. My only priority is getting Mumbai to the CLT20 title and that’s all I am focused on.”

تلك الإصابة والحالة التي يعيشها أردا جولر، تعيد للأذهان ما حدث مع إيدين هازارد في السنوات القليلة الماضية، والسبب في خيبة الأمل التي تعرض لها داخل سانتياجو بيرنابيو بسبب الإصابت، وكذلك ريكاردو كاكا.

البداية من كاكا، الذي انضم إلى ريال مدريد بعد عامين من تتويجه بجائزة أفضل لاعب في العالم عندما قاد ميلان للفوز بـ دوري أبطال أوروبا، وكان يتوقع أن يشكل ثنائية مرعبة مع كريستيانو رونالدو.

كاكا انضم إلى ريال مدريد في 2009، وكانت أكثر مدة غاب خلالها هي 32 مباراة مع ميلان، ولكن بعد انضمامه للنادي الملكي، غاب البرازيلي 175 يومًا، خاض خلالهم النادي الإسباني 29 مباراة بمختلف المسابقات.

تلك الإصابة كان لها تأثير كبير على كاكا، في موسم 2009/2010، حيث غاب عن الشهر الأخير من عام 2009، وفي موسم 2010/2011، غاب منذ بداية الموسم وحتى نهاية العام ليعود في يناير 2011.

مع تولي جوزيه مورينيو قيادة ريال مدريد، لم يعتمد على كاكا، ورحل البرازيلي في 2013 عائدًا إلى ميلان من جديد، بسبب فشل تجربته مع النادي الملكي.

الأمر نفسه تكرر مع إيدين هازارد، ولكن بصورة أكبر، بعدما تدمرت مسيرة البلجيكي بسبب الإصابات، ورحل عن ريال مدريد مثلما جاء، دون أي تأثير.

في تشيلسي، تألق هازارد في 7 سنوات، حقق خلالهم الدوري الإنجليزي والدوري الأوروبي وأفضل لاعب في البطولة الأكبر بين الدوريات في العالم، وكان أحد أفضل اللاعبين في العالم.

بعد رحيله إلى ريال مدريد في 2019، توقع الجميع أن يكون البلجيكي هو خليفة كريستيانو رونالدو، كما حصل على الرقم 7، وكان له تقديم إعلامي مميز من الرئيس فلورنتينو بيريز.

ولكن كان للإصابات الكلمة العُليا، ليتحوّل إيدين هازارد للاعب زجاجي، ويشارك في 76 مباراة فقط خلال 4 سنوات، وسجل 7 أهداف وصنع 12، وأصبح من أفشل الصفقات في تاريخ النادي الإسباني.

في موسمه الأول 2019/2020 غاب هازارد عن ريال مدريد 186 يومًا، بواقع 24 مباراة بمختلف المسابقات.

في الموسم الثاني، 2020/2021، البلجيكي لم يلعب 33 مباراة مع ريال مدريد، بسبب إصابات مختلفة من بينها فيروس كورونا، ولم يلعب لمدة 174 يومًا.

في الموسم الثالث 2021/2022، لم يشارك هازارد في فترة الإعداد بسبب الإصابة لكنه أصيب في التدريبات أكتوبر 2021، وغاب على مدار الموسم بالكامل عن ريال مدريد في 15 مباراة، بواقع 120 يومًا منذ بداية ذلك الموسم.

وأخيرًا في موسم 2022/2023، غاب هازارد عن ريال مدريد 20 يومًا، بواقع 6 مباريات.

إصابات هازارد جعلت مدربي النادي الملكي، كارلو أنشيلوتي وزين الدين زيدان، لا يثقون في الدفع به في المباريات، لتنتهي مسيرة البلجيكي مع ريال مدريد، ويرحل في الصيف وحتى الآن لم يفاوضه أي نادٍ أوروبي للتعاقد معه.

ذلك المصير يخشى أردا جولر أن يواجهه، رغم أنه لم يأت بنجومية هازارد أو كاكا، لكنه في نفس المركز، ويواجه نفس البداية الصعبة التي واجهها الثنائي المذكور.

ويلعب منتخب السودان في المجموعة الأولى بتصفيات بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا 2024 بكوت ديفوار، رفقة موريتانيا والجابون والكونغو الديمقراطية.

ويتصدر منتخب موريتانيا ترتيب المجموعة بـ8 نقاط، ويليه منتخب الكونغو الديمقراطية بـ7 نقاط، ويحتل منتخب الجابون المركز الثالث بنفس عدد النقاط، فيما يتذيل منتخب السودان الجدول بـ6 نقاط.
